Hi... i'm trying to learn my first ever song

I've got the main repeating riff down as follows:

E-----------------------------------------------------------------
B-----------------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------------------------------------------------------
D-----------------------------------------------------------------
A------------3-----------1---------------------------------------
E------3-----------3------------3-----3-----3-----3-----3-----

I need something simple (something newbie-proof!) to play over the chorus... any suggestions?

Thanks.

Since it's in G, it will work to play either a G, C or D chords over the chorus. Use barre chords to give it a fuller sound and just play with the song to figure out how long to hold each chord/when to change.

I'd figure it out for you but it's 2:30am here.
