ive just joined this band, well for a trial anyway, and we want some classic rock covers to do for when we have a jam. so far we just have hey you and comfortably numb by pink floyd. im doin the vocals and rythem guitar. i was hoping that you people would be able to suggest me some more songs that are relativly easy to sing, as i dont have the vocal range of alot of the singers form that era.

any help or whatnot would be great thanks

Hm..Maybe some Deep Purple like "Black Night"? You might want to try some Foghat or Steve Miller Band maybe.

try some beatles, kinks, those rock'n roll bands. they made easy songs that gets a lot of attention from people, since it's very easy to listen to.

^sunshine is a no-no. jack bruce has a very opera'ish voice, and when the song goes up to G, most people can't hit the notes. at least the amateur people with no vocal training.
