I'm sure they just didn't mention it cause 90% of PS3 games don't use the sixaxis function...

A handful of games have optional motion sensing actions, but other than that none.

Sony had the idea for sixaxis ages ago.. it just never took off
there was a controller for the ps1, basically had the same function as sixaxis but it didnt work to well

tilting it to the right would move you to the right. but it was difficult to control.
