yes you can post links. Im assuming this is an epiphone or fake...

nope, it's Gibson's equivalent of a Fender Starcaster.

Threadstarter, don't get it. what style are you looking to play?

Well, that depends on what type of music you want to play...

Also, what price range are you looking at for guitar + amp = ?

I have yet to see Fender's Starcaster model. As for you, young lad, many people suggest Squier Strats/Teles, and Epiphones. At least, that's what I've noticed a lot of beginners turning to.

well i know how to play some led zeppelin, AFI, Blink-182, and i would like to learn more of that style but i dont know what style that would be classified as.... my price range is from around 100$-200$.
is this good? http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-SG-Special-Electric-Guitar-Player-Pack-102920451-i1150173.gc

Eh...I have that guitar...it's not good. I mean, for starting it might be okay, but I am sure you can find a much better one. Do you have an amp already or is this why you must look at packs? Personally, dunno how much $100-$200 will get you.
