ok so i bought a metal muff yesterday YAY!. well thats what i thought, i plug it in, i palm mute and i cringe, just thinking i didnt set it right i try to fix it, no matter what setting i use i get this flabing sound palm mute. im pretty disapointed, but its awsome for riffs and chrods that dont involve palm mutes. am i doing something wrong, i used my 9v to power it so it oculdnt be the batteries and i did take it out.

It's always the gear right?

Post a video on youtube and we'll be the judge.

bass-11 o clock
mids-3 o clock
treble-2:30 o clock

i like to cut through the mix kind of sound, also maybe you could suggest a good setting for me. the eq doesnt really lean towards one freq probly it might lean a bit towards the bass a little bit but thats a good thing.
