Seems like a good guitar. Spec wise and price wise seems very good! Alternatively, you could look up the LTD 400 series and upwards, they are specced very similarly and priced about the same.

For example, the Viper 400.

EDIT: Also, I doubt many people have tried out this guitar since it's a new model released by Epiphone.

in my experience, epiphone has delivered very good quality for their price range. i wouldn't be worried about it. guitar looks kick-a**. i'd go for it.

Those specs look really good, although I have pretty bad experiences with epiphone quality control. The price looks fine though, so if theres a problem you can just send it back.

*it looks like it may be a little neck heavy, but if you can deal with that (just buy a leather strap that grips well), go for it.

Yeah, I actually thought it was an ESP when I first saw it.

Looking at that Viper, they are pretty much identical except for body wood, and that doesn't really matter to me. Seeing that, I almost think I'd go with the Viper instead purely because of Epiphone's reputation. The only thing is, looking at the see through black cherry finish, it has Seymour Duncan pickups in the photo, and I want the EMGs, but the white and black finishes are boring. :P

in my opinion it seems pretty good, you can't just say: oh it's an epi, it's crap, cuz what about teh casino's and such, for the price i say you can't go wrong, and it's a really nice guitar
