right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

Sound won't really matter on that MG.

Just use whichever one is more comfortable to you.

But bear in mind that a strat is the most Iron Maiden guitar there is.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

You could probably pull it off with your HSS strat. Dave Murray uses hot rails on the neck, I believe, for his solos. You could probably come close with your neck + middle pickup position.

I love that song, and the great thing about it is that you can play it with just about any sound. I play it on my razorback and it sounds great. I know that murray has seymour duncans in his strat, and that one of them is a hot rails and the other is a super distortion.

yeah, man. i play that on some crappy strat that i have and it sounds fine.

All guitars sound the same on your Spider III.

TS: I'd go for your HSS guitar; the EMGs won't sound as organic as the passives will when you eventually finish your amp fund.

i don't understand why people think this. they really don't.

I'll put it this way: I have played a Gibson Les Paul Goldtop and an Ibanez GAX30 through a spider and couldn't tell the difference.
