I have my government exam in 2 hours and these are the only 2 questions out of like 300 practice questions I dont know how to solve. When I substitute those values for x I'm not getting the answer. I need helpz

OK I got the first one, but still stuck on the 2nd.

1. 2(3 / root2) + 1 = 3 root 2 + 1. The answer is B.

2. g(-3 / root2) = 2( -3 / root 2) + 2 = -3 root 2 + 2.
f(- 1 / root 2) = 4( - 1/ root 2) - 1 = -2 root 2 - 1.

g(-3 / root2) - f(- 1 / root 2) = -3 root 2 + 2 - ( - 2 root 2 - 1)
= -3 root 2 + 2 + 2 root 2 + 1
= - root 2 + 3

The answer is D.

Thanks, although I worked it out before I saw this. I forgot to expand the - in the 2nd one.

And the exam is only 60 questions, so every mark is important for my percentile lol. 1 mark basically = 2%
