i havnt seen much...waht are the different ways to do it..like....put a different transistor in here...or put a differnet power resistor in here...or what?

Alot of ppl just switch out the transistors and chips to get a better/different sound. Some ppl also build their own, which is probably the best way to get a tone you want.

like...change a 600v capacitor to a 100v and get a different tone....or do that with transistors..and resistors..and see what you get....

ok..thanks..and once i opend th epedals i wanted to mess with they both wouldnt let me look at the circuits....they were like stuck so i couldnt get to it..and i didnt want to force it....so is every pedal like this..and what is the trick for getting to the circuit?

and i noticed that most of them had chips in the that looked like this...<a href="http://s157.photobucket.com/albums/t77/zolbahri/?action=view&current=IMG_2070.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t77/zolbahri/IMG_2070.jpg" border="0" alt="Microchip"></a>

Spend a couple days reading the pedal building thread: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=630592

Your questions have been answered over and over again in this forum. The chip you are asking about is probably an OP amp, which you can find out about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Op-amp

Do some more poking around, and I'm sure you'll find what you need. Good luck!
