Hey,

I have another thread about my guitar not putting sound out through the amp. When I try I get a very faint sound, crackling, plus a soft tone of the string. I came to the conclusion that the battery for my pickups are dead How much would it cost to replace a battery for the pickups? would i be better off buying a new guitar ( used so cheaper)?

Health & Peace,

The only pickups that require a battery are active and usually have a 9 volt in the control cavity. Takes 5 minutes max to replace and the cost is just a couple of bucks. What kind of guitar is it and what kind of pickups?
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

Battery replacement if only necessary if you have active pick-ups. These are usually standard 9V batteries which can cost less than 10 bucks.
