Is there alternate off brand models that work for pedals like the DS-1 or Bad Monkey. I was hoping that maybe I could find one that would work fine but be cheaper than the ones that are made for it. Maybe something I could find at wal-mart?

Go with the one spot, I'm definitely getting one as soon as I get a pedalboard.
Those things are quiet too.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.

I'm thinking about a DC Brick. Ive already researched it a lot but since the subject came up again does anyone else have an opinion on them?

My 1 spot works great and pretty quiet. There is some noise but that noise was there before I got the 1 spot. I plan on getting a decimator soon.
