If a song is in major key, aren't it's chord like this?

Major Minor Minor Major Major Minor Diminshend
I--------II-------III---IV------V------VI--------VII <--- you get the idea.

There was a really good lesson about this, but i couldn't fint it may someone post it here?

Oh and what's that same thing in minor key?

Thats according to the key signature, but in some pieces the harmonic minor is used, which has a 7#, which completely screws up that formula.

But to be honest, the harmony made out of the harmonic minor is awful I think, the 7# makes too many awkward chords, so its perfectly fine to stick with those chords youve got there.
