This is the ending to a concept album I'm planning to write. It's a rough edition, just wanted to get reactions and feedback.
(If it looks like it doesn't flow well in words, the melody and timing I have in my head makes it fit)

All these years have passed
That I haven’t really lived
And neither did you
Face me, like you used to
Make me, like I’m used to
Fade please, you’re nothing anymore

All these months I’ve spent
Trying to bring you back
But you were never really gone
You were never really here
Why was I so stupid dear
And I can’t forgive myself
For believing in you

Gone is my concept of time
Through the boundaries of my mind
Retreating to the reveries
Suppressing all our memories
So I’ll never see you again
I never want to see you again.
What have we learned.....

Words are weightless here on earth,
because they're free

.....from this wee exercise?

I'm not really going for much of a rhyme either, but trust me it makes sense the way it plays out in my head.
