So I told my teacher I wanted to work on jazz soloing some, and lately he's given me a few jazz songs. Recently he gave me the song "It Don't Mean A Thing" to work on. I've been working on it for like 5 days or so, and I've decided to post a recording of me soloing over it to hear what you guys think. The song is made up of an A section, which is solo'd over with the G minor pentatonic scale, and a B section that uses both the G minor pentatonic scale and arpeggios.

the song's on my profile. c4c as always

i liked it, its definitely got the jazz feel to it, and matches the backing track well. nice

pretty cool, had a blues/jazz feel to it. i guess if you are trying to get the complete jazz feel, keep working on the arepeggios and maybe back track away from using the pentatonic too much. pretty cool sound to it though!

dude, what about an actual solo in death metal instead of that poof from linkin park. Think of Pulse of the Maggots - Bed Of Razors
