Well, I'm ordering an Ibanez GSR200 left handed Bass, and although I have a couple of guitar amps in the house I would rather buy a proper bass amp.

I don't have much money, but thankfully when buying my guitar I can get an amp with it cheaper than usual.

Now, I am at no level to start playing gigs, this will be for personal home use, maybe at most playing around with a few friends.

The amp I am looking at is a "HARLEY BENTON HB-40B". I have no idea what quality these amps are, but it can't be worse than BEHRINGER, right?

The exact amp I am looking at is:

For those not bothered to go to the site, this sums it up:

Harley Benton HB-40B, 40 Watt Bass-Combo with 10" Speaker (40W/4ohms), 40W @ 4 ohms, Volume 1, Volume 2, 4-Band EQ, Headphone out, Line Out, jack for external speaker (20W @ 8 ohms), Dimensions WHD: 42 x 44 x 29,5 cm

Any advice and feedback would be great, thanks a million, keep well.

Also, I hope to make my order today, so I'm on a bit of a time limit.

Another question I wanted to ask which I only just remembered now after waking up was if one is using head phones in an amp would they get better sound quality than usual? (Of course this would depend on the quality of headphones as well I'm guessing).

I recommend that. I have never heard of Harley Benton, so I can't trust them. Check reviews on harmonycentral.com. All I know is that Ashdown is one of the premier brands in bass amplification.

Thanks for the advice, that amp looks pretty good and I'll definitely consider it.
