Hey, I'm looking to buy a new acoustic. I've sorta narrowed down my search to a few models and wanted to get some opinions on them. My price range is about $1000, and i would prefer a cedar top acoustic/electric with a cut if possible. If you know of a better quality guitar in this range, please let me know.

I'm looking at a breedlove, takamine, and a parkwood.
Breedlove:

Takamine:

*I actually like the dreadnought body version, but its a lot more expensive.

Parkwood:

*Not cedar, but i've played this guitar several times and like it.

Anyways, I need it for playing acoustic/singing at church. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Forget about the 214ce, unless you can find a used one built before 2006. Don't spend $1000 for laminate sides and back. You could find a used 314ce with all solid woods for the same price.

that natural series takamine you posted is a dreadnought. anyway, i would highly recommend that guitar over the other two or anything from the newer taylor 200 series. those natural series takamines are awesome. in this price range i'd also check out some guitars from larrivee, alvarez, and guild. you might have to find a great deal or go used with larrivee but they are fantastic guitars.

in all honesty though, i'd probably just go with the takamine. those guitars really are sweet.

Seagull Performer Series Cedar S6. I guarantee you that you wont be disappointed with it. I played it against a 300 series taylor and there was no comparison. the seagull won hands down even though it had rusty strings and the taylor had decent elixirs.

Thanks for the input guys. Initially, I was interested in a seagull guitar, but I just didnt care for the width of their necks. If i could find a slimmer neck, then yea i might look at those.

I've settled on the Takamine EAN 10c Cedar top.

I'm getting a pretty good deal from GC @ 849 with a case (*ended up about the same after shipping from Sweetwater)

If you have it, have you had any problems with it or any negative feedback? I've played it several times and really love the sound and quality.
Thanks
