It seems pretty much every guitarist here is in search of that perfect sound. We all want better tone, endless sustain, more defined clarity, cleaner cleans, and dirtier distortions.
We all know the general stuff, mass=sustain, tube=good, EQing=good and etc.

But, are there any general tricks and such that can be done to improve your sound? Simple things..like I've heard that angling your amp upwards can make your sound better, or to raise your amp off of the floor.

Does anyone else have any other cool tricks to improve overall sound/tone quality?

I think this is the best advice you're gonna get.

The speaker(s) in your amp project sound in a cone, if it's just sitting flat on the floor the lower part of the cone bounces off the floor and gets mixed with the upper and middle portion.

As opposed to lifting the amp off the floor OR having the speakers face your face which makes the sound more full and direct.
