I am sure that the experienced musicians of Ultimate Guitar are aware that "like a fine wine" guitars are enhanced with age. Wear and tear looks great on some guitars while defacing others. The aging of wood will also improve the tone on some guitars, while desecrating the tone of others. The same goes with the magnets of pickups. I am wondering what guitars you, the people of UG think age the best and why.

My input: A sunburst Strat with a maple neck because the aging gold color of the fretboard is simply beautiful and the natural wood exposed because of dents and scratches blends well with the sunburst.

I totally agree with you when it comes down to Fenders. I'm looking forward to the nitro finish ageing on my Strat , however I don't want to wear the finish on my Gibson DC because it looks beautiful as it is.
