list youre jumping point from nonmetal to metal.

embarrassing, yes. essential, yes.

avenge sevenfold put me to the tipping point from rock to screaming music, and children of bodom and metallica got me into it.

Magadeth.

Megadeth. Korn kinda helped me get there too,

The first band that reallly got me into music was ACDC and then from there it progressed into rock and blues then to Metallica to Slayer to Children of Bodom and then all kinds of metal.
#10
Metallica, then Becoming the Archetype to get me into "screaming" music.

The first music I ever listened to with harsh vocals was probably Linkin Park. Then it was Disturbed, Mudvayne, Korn, all that nu-metal ****. Then it was Metallica, my first real metal band. Opened up the doors to everything else.

Don't laugh, but Evanescence started it, after that I started getting into harder and harder stuff.

Living Sacrifice, Norma Jean and The Chariot.

Check out Eso Charis, KNUT, and Botch... same style but better.

And I just realized the first mettle CD I ever owned was Rust In Peace by Megadeth.

Korn, Marilyn Manson, System Of A Down, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit ... Essentially I was birthed out of Nu Metal. Mainly Korn though.

Cradle of Filth.

System of a down started me in some "heavier" stuff as I was mostly into punk. Then after a long time with system, I heard COB and Arch enemy at around the same time, and fell in love with teh metulz

I think it went like

Minor Threat, The Misfits, The Beastie Boys, Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Suicidal Tendencies -> Megadeth -> White Zombie -> Linkin Park & Korn -> Underoath/In Flames obsession (when I got really into mettle and mettlecore) -> rediscovering hardcore

I started listening to Tool, then slowly got into more proggy stuff like Dream Theater, then found Opeth and my journey into extreme metal began.

Metallica, Megadeth, Children Of Bodom, and Nile

Blur all the lines!!
Tearing this canvas from the wall!
We crossed out the eyes!!
Put lines through these cries!!
We pulled all the leaves from the trees that fall...

I love Thursday.

I got into them at about the time they released War All the Time, I think. I wasn't really serious about music back then though.

Linkin Park. I used to be the biggest wigger kid ever, then my brother took me for a drive and put Hybrid Theory on. That was it, that changed me over to heavier music. Then after my nu-metal phase I got into Metallica, which somehow got me into Led Zeppelin and classic rock, then built me up to heavier/darker music. Now I am deep into metal, thrash and death metal mostly.

Metallica, but Cradle of Filth ironically got me to push towards black metal.

SO if Janne and Alexi did a gay porn, would I be the only one willing to buy it?

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!
