Listen to the intro to "So Pray for a Storm".

What kind of guitar could give that sort of tone?

Usually I will just turn look at some live pictures until I find a good shot of the guitar but they don't have any so that kind of blows that out of the water.

sounds like one of those sounds almost any guitar can make, needs pedals and amp

You could post on the MySpace asking, otherwise I'd say a strat, but tone is mostly in the player and how you configure your amp.

I think its going to be more about his setup, pedals, amps, and whatever pickups, than the guitar, sounds like a little bit of some type of fuzz,

I'm not saying the guitar has nothing to do with it, I would just think you'd be more interested in his other gear

i can pretty much mirror the tone in solo at 35 seconds, I'm using an ibanez with jazzbuckers and a mesa boogie mark IV
