how can a symbol be lower case? O_o

I say try a different keyboard. As that opening in a new window could be that the CTRL/SHIFT key is stuck in or something

Maybe your shift-key is permanently pushed down. Try rebooting or push it down really hard.

Broke keyboard?

As for the Firefox: Tools>Options>Tabs>Set "New pages should be opened in" as "a new tab".

Smack your computer or keyboard a few times, never fails.

It is fixed!!! yay!!!1

It was my shift key, but it was the one to the LEFT of me. I never use that one, so I didn't think about it.....

I wonder how it got pushed down.....

Oh well....thanks! Mods, you can delete this thread now.

Once, my Ins key was pushed in and caused my computer to boot up into BIOS setup every time I would start it. I didn't catch it until five or six reboots.
