I don't know what's wrong with it.
It will not stay in tune longer than 30 seconds, ecspecially my G string, but G's never stay in tune for anyone

anyways I don't know why, it's a brand new Strat, with reverse headstock and the string are little over 2 weeks old, and it's puzzling me. I didn't put the strings on myself, I took it to my local music center

I think they may be slipping, not sure

I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas on what could the be cause?

Put on new strings. Sounds like you could have some duds on there, or they are aren't on the tuning peg well. Its also possible the nut is badly cut. But first, try new strings.

hm
not really sure but it could be
1.the strings are new
2.its slipping
3.your imagining things
4. theres coul be a problem with your bridge and or headstock.
5. theyre just crappy strings.
6.they could be strung incorrectly.
hope i helped.

Id say restring it yourself and then see if it still does it

I would say tighten the tuning knobs. That was the issue with my Strat when I first got it. Get a philips-head screw driver and tighten the screw where the tuning pegs are.

Warning: Make sure you don't tighten TOO MUCH, else they'll go into the headstock and cause so many problems your head would spin. Not speaking from experience, just knowledge.

Also could be the other issues the others said. I dunno, did you ask your music center?

I just got them put on not even 2 weeks ago, they're D'addario so they're good.

How can I fix them if they're slipping, because I really don't want to have to put new strings on because I don't have any money until Tuesday and I can't wait all weekend and then some

EDIT: The original strings were fine and they stayed in tune, but they were stock so I just changed them.

Also I took off the back plate and where the springs are i loosened the peice that holds the bridge in place to the neck so I could straighten the springs out, cuz Im about to add to more, but I didn't know if that was the cause.

instead of the springs all going towards the middle I have them straight

Ironically enough my first thought when I got my guitar back was "I'm going to stretch these so they stay in tune"

how are the strings wound on the tuning posts, if there's only a couple of turns that won't be helping your tuning stability any.
