Seriously, this thing is a life saver. My XXX has a classic rock-borderline 70's metal sounding channel when the gain is cranked. It also has an ultra channel, for all that hi-gain crazy ****. I kinda wanted something in between. I got this Dano EQ for $30, and it makes my "classic rock" channel sound like thrash, kinda like Testament's tone.

This thing is great, even with my ****ty GSA. I get my S470 back from the shop any day now with new pickups, I can't wait!

Because I have a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade, and with 128 MIDI channels I really don't need an eq pedal, as I can save the settings for each channel...

Good enough reason?

i have one but no longer need it due to my sick amp and bass.

Well I thought my XXX was great even without it, adding an EQ made me really love it.

I bought one cause I thought it would be great, but it's currently not in use. I don't need any other EQ settings besides my main setting. It just took up space/signal on my board.
HEY
Do you like anime/manga?
PM me about buying the graphic novels I'm trying to sell

Yeah, I hear they do wonders to one's tone.
I was thinking of getting the 15 band radioshack one for 50 bucks.
another UGer bought one and said that it was awesome (it went in the effects loop), so I think i'll just try it out just for the heck of it. 15 bands can allow for some super precise EQing.

not to mention you can get some unique sounds by scooping a certain frequency

would the fifteen band be good just direct in, or are eq pedals better through an effects loop?

you again

damn i could've done a much better response for ntchode 'Owner of UGs hugest penis'

I don't think i'll use the EQ for scooping or boosting too much. Just to allow me to dial in a more precise tone. Sadly, it can't be disengaged (unless one had a bypass box or something), so it's always on, but that may not be a bad thing.

It's like your amp's standard 3 band EQ, but allows for more precise tuning of your tone.
