I was wondering is there an amp around $400 dollars thats good. I want a zakk wylde kind of sound. Please no vox or roland.
#2
see if you like the peavey windsor. it sounds a lot like a JCM800, and it's got lots more gain potential than the JCM800. and it's relatively cheap too. (i don't hink it's under 400, but around 500~600ish.) and maybe some chorus pedal...

Why not the Valveking like your sig says? There's really not much in that pricerange to choose from to be honest. I know Crate has a bunch of amps in that price range, possibly some Laney amps as well. You could always go the Line 6 route. They sound awful, but probably will be the closest thing to what you want.

kk thanks im getting the valve then and then get zakk wylde od pedal. so its all good thanks

to bluesy for me..

zakk wylde OD is rubbish. its horrible to my ears. get an amp that can nail the tone before you get an OD that's only named after him.

blues jr is a bit bluesy, but it can handle pretty impressive (though not metal territory) gain.

but there are better OD pedals then the Zakk Wylde, no offence. I like the Metal Muff personally, but the Boss ML-2 looks like it has potential..

How much are you selling that vintage club once you get your new amp?

Don't get the Zakk Wylde OD. Get the BBE Green Screamer

Hmm I believe im getting $320 for it. $20 more then I bought it for and then...Then on to the holy grail. Peavey Valveking 112 combo yes...

Yes, he does own a guitar.
But there are leauges of people better than him
Why did you even ask us if your mind is already made up?
Why are you getting a zakk wylde OD pedal if people advised you to not get it?

Buy an MG. Zakk Wylde endorses it, so it must be good!

/joke

Just go for that VK, and add an OD pedal.

I dont mean to insult you in anyway (life_777), but what is wrong with you?

You post in numerous threads that the ValveKing is amazing and its what you've always wanted, then you ask people what amps there are in the same price range. You then go for the Zack Wylde pedal, rather than going for a Metal Muff which you've raved about again throughout the forum. Im confused =/

Oh its fine man...Yea I used to be a metal muff head but now im not really well i still likes its distortion on it. But I need overdrive for the valveking. so yea. And about the valveking forum thingy. I do that because I just want to see what other amps besides the valveking is good in its price range.

Well I think a Digitech Bad Monkey would suit you. When I get my VK if I feel I need a boost im getting it.
