I'm learning 'nocturne' by the human abstract, and to my amazement, learning things at a mega slow pace is improving things.

I'm doing this by slowing the tempo on Guitar Pro and just playing along to it, i can hear what little fast picking changes that i couldn't primarily pick up, i.e funny timing triplets and quintuplets etc, and when i play faster now it is slowly getting better, because i am having a bit of trouble with this song.

Anyone else know of any good techniques to pick things like this up at all?

Too absolutely puuurfect a song in such a way?
guitar pro definitely makes things easier than normal tab even if you aren't slowing things down. its helps for me too if im practicing a solo or somehting, i can mute the solo guitar on gp and improvise over the top of the rest of the song. makes it much easier.
