Why would you want those?
They look like toys.

If you want a metal guitar
go for something real
like ibanez or schecter
and if u want something that looks cool
then the higher end bcriches i guess
or check out moser guitars
those are crazy

DONT, please!
They are average at best, you're just paying for the DIME at the headstock.
IMO, the Dimebucker is a really bad pickup.
You could do a lot better with that budget and get better guitars.

Depends. How many frets? Trem equipped or hardtail? Any bodywood preference? A lot has to be taken into consideration man.

moser r a super small company and they make guitars for looks rather than sound no offense

with 1k aussy id get an esp or jackson
i got my truckster off ebay for 900 AUS. if u find one then buy it.. haha..

what i suggest:
jackson rr (seymour duncan / emg pickups; not duncan designed)
esp ltd 400 series + (emg / seymour duncan equipped)
so: esp ltd ex-400, esp ec-500 etc...
1k is a nice budget but ever thought about an amp?
#13
You could go for a Schecter, Jackson, ESP or Ibanez. Great guitars for metal, and should be in that price range.

It all depends
Heres a few I would recommend:

Ibanez Prestige
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-Prestige-Series-RG2550Z-Electric-Guitar?sku=515738
Probably the best in that price range. Thin neck good for playing fast, 24 frets, and floating tremolo. Great shred guitar. H/S/H, which is what I prefer, you get a good warm one, a good strat sound, and a good shred/metal one.

Schecter C-1 Hellraiser
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-Hellraiser-C1-FR-Electric-Guitar?sku=513134
Also a very good guitar but the necks a little thicker than the Ibanez. Still great to play, great tone, and its beautiful. Floyd rose bridge, two humbuckers, good for metal. It has two volume knobs, so if your into like Rage Against the Machine or Buckethead, you can use the pickup selector like a killswitch, I don't know how many other people are into that.

ESP LTD Deluxe Viper 1000
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-LTD-Deluxe-Viper-1000-Electric-Guitar?sku=516635
This is the one I have the least experience with. Still a great guitar, 24 frets, AMAZING tone. But no tremolo.

Razorback 255's are great, but the normal Razorbacks... not so much. Dimebuckers sound terrible. And the 255's are a bit expensive. I would suggest you take a look at ESP for a nice metal guitar.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

Razorbacks are great guitars, but overpriced for sure.

If you want somthing simular how about a Dean ML?

Please whatever you do ignore these suggestions:

esp ltd 400 series
High-end BC Richs

I personally havent liked the jacksons ive played.... But i know people that love them...

Dude, you really shouldn't get a razorback. It's just Dean marketing to metalhead kids who like pointy guitars and is marketing off Dime's death.

Get a jackson, those are real nice for metal.

I just got my new Razorback 255. It's awesome mate, I would really recommend it.
I got mine BRAND NEW off of ebay for $1400 Australian. And it retails for $3000 so just look around. My shipping was free also. The store i got it off was themusicfarm they have really cheap deans just search for them in ebay.com (it came from america).

Here is my item just to show you.
Anyway I would recommend it but that is 400 more then what your looking for so just search.

Here's a perfect example of a mis-informed piece of ****.

Moser is quite the reputable company very much, and to the B.C Rich hidden pun intentions, B.C Rich has stepped up their gear and their custom shop rivals Gibson, so watch it buddy.

Depends. The dimebucker is really only fit for metal. Which it does sooo well. It plays great and looks great. They cost an arm and a leg though.

Try and find a DEAN that has a V-neck, its the best neck i have

Yea, bollocks mate. The Dimebucker sounds awful to my ears.

Do yourself a favour, and stay away from anything with Dime's name on it.

What is your problem. Its an opinion from someone that acctually OWNs the guitar. Unlike most of the posts in this topic.

Your opinion is biased.

The dimebucker plain sucks. Dime didn't even use it himself.

Touché.

Although you may as well just buy a decent guitar to begin with, so that a pickup change won't be required in the first place. What's the point in unnecessarily spending more money?
#38
PLEASE dont buy it. I have played a 300 dollar dean and they and the dean razorback have some horrible horrible feels to them. you would have to seriously adjust them, new pickups, new strings, change the action. this is my opinion. my jackson dk2m was cheap and perfect when i bought it. PERFECT. great pickups, fine strings, nice locking. and when they say you will play better because of the fretboard and neck on a jackson they do really mean it. ESP are great for metal too. try them out before you buy. you will PROBLY be immediately turned off by the dean
#39
If you want to get Dean, go American. The Korean ones can be a bit overpriced. If you want a nice Korean one that doesn't break the bank, try the MLF79. It's got the same appointments as a standard Dean but with a floyd and minus the Ebony boards and the V-neck. If you want a really killer deal, try and scoring a MAHG series Dean. They're brand new and they come with all the Time Capsule appointments minus the maple top. Mahogany construction, V shaped neck, Ebony figerboards and Dimarzios. They run about a grand or so too.

i play all sorts of music but am currently in a metal band, and i use my ESP/LTD EC-1000 deluxe as my main guitar and my ESP/LTD Viper 301 (now 400 model) for back up and then i use my Jackson PC-1 for songs which require a floyd rose. imo ESP, Schecter and Jackson take the cake
