it's a nice guitar. some guys dont like the finished feel of the neck.

but it'll be a solid guitar to own.

what music do you play? what amp are you using?

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

I have the Shechter Blackjack 006, and I love it. I play through a JCM 800 combo and it sounds great. Of course I'm saving up for a Les Paul within the next couple of years, but my guitar is amazing quality-wise for the $550 I paid for it.

It's a very solid guitar. If that's your price range, then I don't think you'll find much better.

More importantly, what music do you play? Schecters are known to be very good metal guitars. I use mine for lots of classic rock (lots of Guns N Roses stuff) with some jazz type stuff too, and I only use the bridge or neck pickup (dont like the ones inbetween) and through a little tweaking of my amp I can find the tone that works.

To TS, it's a decent guitar and plays alright. Personally I don't like the feel of the neck and the strings on the one I played were too heavy for my likings, but price wise it's great. Have you tried one out before?

^Thats basically what my guitar sounds like, cept the tonal differences are caz of the amp obviously.

There some people playing. If you cant try the guitar yourself I have to say youtube is a great marketing tool. That's how I decided to get the JCM 800 caz I couldnt try it out, and I'm happy I made the right choice with this amp.

I couldnt find many good youtube vids of the C-1, but here's one i guess or search for yourself

There's not going to be that much of a difference between the 006 and C-1.

And what Mwoit said, some people don't like the feel of the neck.

TS, the guitar will sound fine, but for a heavier tone, you might need to add a high gain pedal to the vox.

a new guitar alone isnt going to get you there.
