Probably should go somewhere else but meh.

Lately my computer has a hard time recording right, it lags almost half a second behind after even 30 seconds of recording, that is, the recording starts off in time and gradually drifts into its own little time zone.

Anyone encountered this type of thing before and can recommend a fix?

I think it might be related to the Hz, like you can record in 48kHz or 44.1kHz, and if you use the wrong one, it starts off in time and then drifts off. Try finding a setting for that and changing it to see if that fixes the problem.

What program are you using?
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

I have the same problem on some programs, most notably audacity. I haven't bothered to look into it yet.

Another symptom is the timing marker that follows the song, it jumps around like hell, causing little effect from what I've seen so far.
