I am going to be building a guitar, i want to do a basswood body with quilted maple top and bottom, how would i go about this, i was thinking of cutting a piece in the shape of the guitar out of mahogany and then 2 of the same pieces out of quilted maple and then glueing all three together then using clamps, but i have been told i will get dry spots. Gluing the blank up and cutting the shape out is the easiest part of the build. If you don't know whats going on their your going to need to by a book.

Also, spend a little bit more time wording your post if you want more answers, that was hard to read.
