you'd need to drill in holes to mount it on. Also, im pretty sure that SGs with pickguards dont have mount rings next to the p'ups, i know mine doesnt. If you can work around that, then hell yes, do it lol

I would invest in new pickups and tuners for it rather than a pick guard.

Yes, it will go on fine if you use a 61 style. If you do an SG Standard style, you'll need to remove the pickup bezels.

the sg's with a half pickguard have mounting rings. but it really shouldn't be to difficult. just by a pickguard and and drill holes and put it on.

EDIT: DAMNIT!!! someone always says what i want to before i do!!! DAMNIT!!!!!

That's what I was thinking of doing. I like the finish on it and don't want to cover it up too much.
