i hvae been looking for a new amp for a while now its gonna be used for metal most of the time and needs a half decent clean tone i have already looked at the valveking 112 and randall rg50tc any other suggestions? price range is £300-£400

yeah that could work but its only gonna be used for practise and jamming with mates really so i dont think I will need the 100W i think 50W is the max really in tube terms

you might want to try checking out some used guitar shops in your local area, or classifieds

your right even at 50w its not all neccesary, but The randal rg50tc, gets heavier tones, also, like mentioned the G3 series isnt to bad for solid state, i might actually prefer it over the Vk or Rg50tc
