Does playing an acoustic through a tube amp work? how does it sound? would it damage the amp?

if you overdrive it you'll get a dirty sound. the only thing I'd worry about is feedback. but in no way will it damage the amp.

putting distortion on an acoustic causes a LOT of feedback. try it if you want, but I dont recommend it as practical.
