so i need some new strings. the last kind i had was Ernie Ball Super Slikys. but i didn't care for them much. i want some that will give me a good deep metal tone. something that will punch you in the face. i also play a little bit of blues.

i play a schecter gryphon.

any suggestions?

D'Addario 10's? There isn't really a certain kind of strings for any particular genre, unless you do extreme detuning. If you do though, then you might just want a heavier gauge.

I use the DR Dimebag high voltage strings (cant miss it has dimebag on the cover). they are great. they keep their tone and stay intune.

why are metal musicians prone to fatness?
Cause there music is heavy.
