using a pick can generally provide more speed but finger picking can allow you to easier play acoustic/rhythmic songs and play two strings at once. Which do you prefer?

Depends what im playing for example if im playing Pantera or Machine head ill use a pick, but if im doing the soft intro part in fade to black ill use my fingers (or Stairway To Heaven)

Pick.

It sounds better.

(Although i prefer fingerpicking for bass in some songs/styles)

It doesn't sound better, it just fits certain styles better than fingerpicking. Same thing vice versa.

I use both, but fingerpicking way more.

Finger-picking. There's almost nothing you can do with a pick that you can't do with finger-picking.
