I have been looking for a good, cheap tube amp that is loud enough to jam with a drummer, bassist, and lead guitarist and play small gigs. I'm looking for a fat, chunky, bassy ryhthem tone (think Mesa or Marshall) for SRV type blues, and 80's metal. I'm new to tube amps, but I've seemed to narrow it down to the Fender Blues Jr and Palomino V16. which is better. Oh, I use a Gibson SG Standard and am planning to buy a good OD for metal.

I Would suggest the V16. I guess I would be biased cause I own one, but when I compared those 2 amps, The V16 had more gain, and sounded better when it was pushed.
