Hey guys, I've been working a lot on my lead playing, and I've started to nicite that my rhythym playing is not what it should be. Can anyone reccomend some songs that are "chordy" so I can work on my chording?

Thanks!

Slaves Shall Serve - Behemoth

I kid. Hmm... chordy? Try some Travelling Wilburys. 'Tweeter and the Monkey Man' or 'Handle with Care' are pretty 'chordy'.

Play a bunch of Bob Dylan and 50s/60s stuff. Also a lot of 90s alternative relies on chordy rhythm instead of lead.
I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger......a man on the move and just sick enough to be totally confident.

YES!! Of course there is fucking sand in my vaj!!

Seriously, I'm not a huge fan of jazz, and recently there has been a surge of people who think saying "try playing some jazz" makes them sound like a better player, that and "All music involves forms of jazz, it's really the ultimate form of music" I've actually heard someone say that. That kind of attitude just annoys me.

Meh, you said something that doesn't involve power chords so that kind of took out a lot of rock songs and I already said the Traveling Wilburys so I figured 'Hey, Jazz music uses weird chords, let's throw that one out there!'

Red Hot Chili Peppers have a lot of weird chords, neat strumming patterns, and excellent rhythm parts.

Here're some of my own recommendations, songwise...
Snow ((Hey Oh))- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Excellent intro/riff that requires a lot of skill and practice to get up to tempo and perfectly clean. The bridge has a bunch of nice, standard funk chords/strums as well.
Dani California- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Interesting chord shapes.
Californication- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Good look at interval stretches.
Under the Bridge- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Chordy, to say the least. There's a bunch of great chords in here.
Scar Tissue- Red Hot Chili Peppers- Ditto.
Crazy Train- Ozzy Osbourne- The verse riff is really interesting. Worth a look.
Purple Haze- Jimi Hendrix- Interesting "thumb" chords.
Comfortably Numb- Pink Floyd- Standard chords, but great practice.
Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd- Ditto.

Cheers dude.

Thanks! I'll be sure to try a few of those out!

(although I wouldn't call Californication hard, it was the first song I learned)
