My picking style is more of a "slicing", because i can play better like that (and it's how i've done it since i've started playing) but i was wondering if hitting the string against the flat side of the pick could let me play faster.. also, i cant hit separate strings very fast, like the part near the beginning of bark at the moon. Is it my picking style, or lack of practice ?
your style should actually be faster than picking flat to the string. since your picking is more like slicing, it "slices" through the string, which is faster and easier than picking flat. the only problem is that some people (such as myself) find the hand angle hard to keep up.
