Its not a very good head and its cheap for that reason.

If you cant go tube, check out the Laney LV series amps they are hybrids.

I have the LV200, the clean channel is very nice and it takes pedals great.

The LV200 is pretty cool but he could get an LC30 for the same price. Then again, he plays metal so it wouldn't suit him.

Hmm... Well if you can afford an LV200, why not check out a Peavey Valveking or a Randall G3 series amplifier? If you boost the front end of a VK, you can get teh brewtalz. The Randall gets pretty raunchy on it's own.

Oh! Check out the Randall RG50TC also. That thing can get pretty br00tz.

not a good head really. i have the 65W combo. its ok, but the distortions very flat and dull. and it doesn't react too well to dist. pedals.
