Hi,

I have a Marshall 15cd 15w amp, and as I play a series of chords (usually on some type of distortion from my GNX3000 stomp-box), I hear this really high pitched ringing that is so high pitched that it hurts my hears. IT almost sounds like there are some kind of bells in the background!...

I tried moving a few feet away, no luck... I'm also using a BR-1180 to record, and I get the same noise on playback (through the amp) as well.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm new to all of this.... Thanks!

Has to be with both of them. Sell them and buy a tube amp.

Maybe feedback
Move a few feet away from the amp

Agreed. Also, try to mute the strings with your hand or put something like a hairband on the strings.
