Um, i am planning on using only two cables... so what do i do with the EQs on my peavey? Do i set everything even pre, post, reverb at 12 o'clock? I heard i need to put it in the cleanness sounding of the the amp to make the GT-8 work its magic

Also i have to put it in the mono out put to amp guitar input?

Any Peavey Classic 50 users in the forum that could give me tips!

Thanx in advance

uh..

i don't think you made a very wise decision getting a digital pedal for a nice tube amp like that.
it won't sound amazing by any stretch of the imagination, no matter how you tweek the eq.

Leave the reverb and pre down kinda low, the post up some, and EQ to your liking.

you should really use the gt-8 as an add-on to your classic 50's natural tone. so perhaps bypass the amp models, and just use the eq on top of an eq setting that you like on the amp.

Set the EQ on the gt-8 to linear, and use the EQ on the amp.
Not really a good idea to use something digital with a tube amp.
but... You could just bypass the models, and just use it for effects (delay, chorus, flange).

When you said linear, that means 0 value on all of them?

And yaa, i bought GT-8 only for effects (so i probably be in manual mode a lot)... the models are just a plus. For the price i got it, it was an awesome deal/buy.

It's also my practice amp LOL So i have multi purpose to it

what else do u need?

all you have to do is toss the multi effect unit and plug ur guitar straight into the amplifier.

at least thats what i do, and it sounds better than anything.

You realize no one sells items at list price right?

Good lord. You are amazing.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.
