How much would you pay for this:
2006 Fender American Standard Stratocaster = I paid 1200
+ Fender Custom Shop 69 Pickups = I paid 350 and maybe a little more
=1550
Would you pay that much??
I want to buy a new 2008 Strat to get a higher output pickup, instead of just putting new pickups in.

I don't think the 2008 strats have hotter pick ups.

I don't think so either, I think they just swapped the magnets.

the pickups sound different. Its really vintage sounding, thats why. So anyone whos looking for a vintage sound, which my tastes have changed a little, would probably be interested.
Edit: The pickups are really expensive to install and buy, and everyone ive showed this too said the pickups are amazing for a vintage tone. Thats why its worth more than a normal strat but how much more??

even with the pickup change i wouldn't expect much more than 1000 for it. no matter what you did to it, the bottom line is it's used, and unless you're clapton, that means the value drops. if someone wanted to shell out 1550 for it, they might as well buy a brand new one and install the same pickups.

About 1000. Less if theres dings/scratchs.

Why sell it for a new one just for pickups?
Swap your pickups. two years doesn't suddlenly make it go for more than it's orginally buying price, maybe twenty years but even at that it's doubtful.

i would rly just get new pups, unless you hate that guitar or something.

sir, i would like to inform you that you are now my favorite UGer. Not only did you use the word y'all, which is native to my homeland, but you correctly punctuated it using the apostrophe.
