It's a long shot, but I figured I'd post it here while waiting for a response in a tech forum...

have some Controls homework involving block diagram reduction, and I've run into a problem that I can't seem to figure out. It's probably just a rule that I'm not seeing to reduce this.

The picture below shows the original BD and then what I've reduced it to. This was done by moving the pickoff point to the other side of the 1/s block and combining cascading blocks.



The problem is that bottom summing point. I have that random feedback loop to the right that I don't know what to do with. I'm about to try moving the pickoff point again to be in front of the 10/ block, but every thing's about to get really messy. Am I doing unnecessary steps or am I just missing a simple concept somewhere?
