It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) by Bob Dylan. Such excellent lyrics.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Do you think you guys can come up with a song that has metaphors and similes? (Describing something using "like" or "as", and describing something without using "like" or "as")

"It's Alright, Ma" is loaded with metaphors and similes.

We had to do modern day "ballads" for an english assignment. I did an entire album - Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater. Though not a ballad by normal standards, it most definitely is in the traditional literature sense.. tragic, supernatural elements, etc.
