I didn't know which category this would fall under so I'll just ask.

Does anyone here know what equipment Dan Jacobs, from Atreyu uses?

I got down that he uses ESP's, Marshall JCM 800/Jubilees, EMG 81/85 pickups, "Boss Overdrive", and that's about it.

I want to get that tone down but I don't know what else he uses.

Could any of you guys play who alot of Atreyu reccomend some amp settings/pedals for me that I could use for that tone?

I'm playing an ESP LTD MH-400 with EMG 81/85's, a Boss MT-2 pedal, and a Marshall JCM 2000.

Thanks a bunch!
And I know Atreyu has lot's of haters, so if you came here to hate, please don't!

Yeah, that's where I checked.

All it has is a link to his Wikipedia page, which is where I got all my other information.

Your MT-2 is probably the weakest link. If he's using a Boss overdrive, it might be a Blues Driver or an Overdrive/Super Overdrive.

Your best bet is to ditch the Metalzone and boost your overdrive channel with a booster pedal.

Agreed, see if you can sell the MT-2 to some unsuspecting kid who wants t3h br00talzzz.

The BD-2 goes nicely with my JCM2000 DSL401, although I did mod it a bit to be slightly smoother with less icepick highs. There are lots of BD-2s on eBay for cheap, so check there.
