Just wondering really...

My band are doing gigs quite regularly now and I notice we hardly ever properly practice anymore. We've been doing the same set of originals for about a year and a half now, so maybe there's no need. When we've sorted our new set list, I expect we'll start doing a lot more again.

It depends how serious you are.
Hobby bands need only practice one a week.
Those looking for a future together need to practice two or three times a week at least.
#4
Once in one or two weeks. But we need to finish our original songs before any gigs.(When we will I guess we'll rehearse often)
#5
three times a week every week even when we gig.

Once a week. Twice if we have time and can get everyone together. We try to be really effecient with the time we have though.
And maybe we can fly away from here, surf on the debris of a broken scene...

twice a week for two hours. allow 30 minutes per practice for screwing off/playing un-productive jams. personally i like having shorter practices more often as it allows you to keep the material very fresh in your mind, which can sometimes be hard with new unrecorded originals.

Generaly once or twice a week, but if you're playing gigs once or twice a week, rehearsals are really only needed to sort out new material.

Once a week..around 5 hours per rehearsal (since we only meet once a week we have to cram a lot in). But we're making good progress, we have about 4 solid covers and are working on 2 originals right now..not bad considering we're a fairly new band.

Usually once a week, although lately we've been doing little jam sessions during the week where two or so of us get together and polish up songs, write new stuff, etc. It's easier to do without our drumer making noise in the background lol. When we have a gig coming up we usually practice twice or three times in the week preceding it. But my town is small as **** and we're all high school sophomore and freshman age so it doesn't happen often.

Usually twice a week. On a weekday, it's maybe about 2 hours and on a weekend it's about 4 hours

i am the band, so i got a lot of instruments to cover. so i practice daily, lotsa guitar here, some bass there, singing in the car or acapella at home. its a constant thing.

Gotta be careful where the band is right now. After a year and a half doing mostly the same stuff things can start to unwind. Start throwing in some covers and I would think about taking a few weeks off. Its good to still hang out (and you should) but time off is good.

ha forgot the question. 3 hours twice a week. I also spend time with band members seperately to either write or help correct stuff.
If you check my profile song please leave a comment on any part.....THANKS!!!

Well we've just started, and the drummer's being an annoying bastard because he has rugby matches on Saturdays (when we'd practice) so about once every two weeks.
There's only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!

My band practices every Thursday for about 3 hours. Of course the winter weather has had us miss practice the past 4 weeks.
