I've only been playing for a short period of time and I'm about to purchase my first acoustic. I've spent a considerable amount of time researching guitars, mainly in the $150-$200 range, and from what I've found the Epiphone AJ200S seems to be the best in that range. I would appreciate any feedback from others that have played this guitar. Please keep in mind that I am a beginner and I need a guitar that will help me progress to the next level. Thank you for any and all comments.

I don't have any first-hand experience with that guitar, but the fact that it has a solid top is encouraging. You should also look at the Yamaha FG700S. Play them both and go with the one that plays and sounds the best.
