I mean I respect that they were huge for metal and all, but I don't get it. I only heard two albums, but so far I'm not impressed. Everybody makes this big ass deal over them like they're the greatest **** ever. I've heard better. I dunno am I missing something here?

you have to remember that there weren't tons of bands like that back in the day. plus halford wails on the vocals.....too bad he's gay.

Try British Steel, then see if you have a different opinion. Thats the best album in my opinion.

I don't like British steel much, I like Defenders of the faith more Anyway if you've been listening to metal for a while they probably wont seem that great since every band now does what they did. Though they are a lot more varied from album to album than any other metal band I have heard.
