I have an Ibanez RG120... I've been looking at getting an Ibanez RGT42DX...

Then I got to thinking. Should I get the RGT or should I stick with my 120 and change the pickups, neck, and hardware to get what I want in the 42...

The RGT Trem system is nice but I keep hearing bad news about the Edge III. The 120 has the standard Trem...

What would you do?

You should try out the RGT42DX and see if you like it a lot better. If it isn't a huge jump from what you already have, then just upgrade your RG120.

Save your cash and get a totally new axe, the rg 120 is likely made out of agithis which is inferior wood to make a guitar and no matter how you upgrade it won't sound that great.
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!
