Hey,
This is the second thread of this type (<<CLICK HERE FOR OTHER>> )

Ordinarily i would make a second thread and i know i probably shouldn't but i tried re-posting in the old one to no avail.

I have £141.01 budget!!!!!

I need/want a:

  • Little Big Muff
  • Ibanez DE7 or other equally as good delay pedal
  • Digitech Bad Monkey or other Good Overdrive
  • Another Fender Premium Gold Cable + patch leads

Any other suggestions on a (gilmour style) Fuzz, Tube Overdrive and delay?

Is it possible?

Check eBay and you can probably get all of those in your budget.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

forget the cable, do that yourself

bad monkey+ little muff = £75 ish? you could nearly pick up a DD-3 for whats left
Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

Ebay appreas to be more expensive for any better quality pedals in the uk, although if you can prove me wrong I wouldn't object.

What benefit would a DD-3 give me?

Bad Monkey + Little muff = £78

That leaves £63 excluding postage costs so lets say £8 if all of GAK

I also need a couple of patch leads say a fiver

Leaving £50

Any Suggestions?

If i bought a BOSS GT-8 would that offer me all i wanted?? I know the tone will never be as good but it offers me far more versitility recording & gig wise.

for fuzz, Roger Mayer is the way to go. which model depends on your taste.

with tube OD, do you mean a pedal with a tube in it ?

Well i don't really mean tube overdrive, i mean like tubescreamer. I'd like an ts808 but can't feasably justify the cost of any variants. Hence the reason i was thinking Bad Monkey as they are supposedly pretty good.

I'm after that Gilmour sound, think 'sorrow' off 'momentary lapse of reason'. Will the Roger Mayer fuzz models offer me any benefits over the Big Muff?

However i was thinking could i just buy a Gt-8 and be done with all my pedal + my recording and gigging needs? But would that just waste the tone of my amp? And would it not be able to get me close enough to the right tone??

there's a BYOC screamer which is an exact TS808 clone (even with certain components slighty higher in quality compared to the ibanez ! ). you can get it for 47.5 pounds i believe, but you have to make it yourself... it'll obviously be better than the BM (although the BM is nice too).

i don't know that song, and my speakers are broken so i can't listen atm
it'll be better quality than the EHX fo course, but it's more expensive... they're really 2 quite different animals.

a GT-8 would probably give you a reasonably nice tone, but it's not comparable to stompboxes of course. i'd go with stompboxes, as they're an investment really

Thanks for the advice, i'm relatively new to effects. I think i'll stick to the stomp box route, however if feel illustrious with my money i may buy a GT-8 or GT-6.

It's an epic song btw when played loud. We want to play it live i just can't get the tone right and it doesn't sound right clean

Seriously, i can get a BYOC ts808 for about £50? Is that delivered? Linky??

Sry Guys, but i've just bought a GT-8. I played one through my amp and for my budget it offered me the versitilty i needed as i've re-thought all my options and can't actually warrant the extra cash to build a complete pedal board.

Thanks for all your help though, it wasn't in vain i considered everything.

Can't wait for it to arrive.
