Help me decide between both of these guitars.

I can get both of them for $279 new from two different guitar shops near me.

Ibanez RG321MH

Jackson JS30WR

I've held both and I have longer fingers so I prefer a bit of a thinker neck of the Jackson but the Ibanez felt lighter. Both don't really matter so much and arn't a deal breaker.

I've read that a lot of people arn't to fond of the pups in the Ibanez and end up replacing them as opposed to the Jackson CVR2s. Wondering what some of your opinions are on that. The RG comes with INF3/4.

As far as looks I prefer the Jackson based on a pure aesthetic basis... but going into this from a beginner standpoint I'm more interested in getting something that isn't so low quality that it's going to fall apart. I know both are reputable brands obviously, but I've got one friend saying go with the Jackson and the other is saying stick with Ibanez to start out.

I was almost ready to go with the JS30WR but after posting here, you guys got me thinking and looking into things more in-depth. (https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=768355 )

Now i'm torn... help!

I have the RG321 and I would say it's a very good guitar for the money. The guitar feels great but the INF pickups aren't delivering up to the performance I require. They're just not hot enough.

As many have said earlier. Go to the shop and play them. It's best that way.

Either guitar would be alright, although I would lean towards to the Ibanez as I feel it's a better crafted guitar.

I agree with hminh87; try them out and see which one you prefer.
